Erich Kron, CISO Advisor at KnowBe4, author, podcaster, geek and regular contributor to cybersecurity industry publications, is a veteran information security professional with over 30 years’ experience in the medical, aerospace manufacturing and defense fields. He is the former security manager for the US Army's 2nd Regional Cyber Center and holds CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SACP and many other certifications. In addition to cybersecurity, and when he is not traveling around giving talks at various cybersecurity events, Erich also enjoys a lot of mechanical and hands-on hobbies that include 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, woodworking, home automation, working with AI and car modding, among others. While he might be a little ADHD, he has a well-rounded grasp on many things that help him think outside of the box and excel in his hobbies. Erich and Javvad Mailk co-wrote a book titled “50 Ways to Survive and Thrive in Cybersecurity” that showcases their combined experience in the industry and includes a bit of humor to keep things lively.
