Adrian Sanabria

I am an experienced security professional with nearly two decades of industry experience. Throughout my career I've intentionally explored many different sides of the industry. Starting in IT, I quickly moved into security full-time as a practitioner. I later moved into consulting, spent some time writing about the industry as an industry analyst. I also learned the business of the industry, helping investors and vendors build products and grow revenue. Some of my favorite work has been mentoring those starting their careers and helping to build support for practitioners in my local community. After nearly 20 years in the industry, I've remained an optimist. I love to research and seek out meaningful patterns in all things. I'm a 'big picture' thinker; I like to understand how things fit together and how small changes will affect the future. My most recent research seeks to understand why security defenses continue to fail in many organizations and look for ways to make defense easier on practitioners.
