ConDef is an interconnected, open playground that sets a solid foundation for budding Jr SOC Analysts, Incident Responders and Cyber Threat Investigators. Because of the cumulative nature of each course, it must be presented in one single package to make sure students don’t lose their progress in their own, dedicated virtual environment. Course #1 features an introduction to the massive, web-based lab and dives into Windows Servers and Clients including Active Directory. Course #2 showcases Linux and Kubernetes. Course #3 puts your head in the clouds with both AWS and Azure and then throws in some purple team action just to round things out.
What do I get with Constructing Defense?
Along with 100+ videos and clear click-by-click instructions, this well-organized course contains a massive virtual environment for you to play. All virtual machines are web-based, so no need for your own hardware or home lab (although it’s always encouraged to have a home lab!). We do utilize free accounts for the Cloud portion of Course #3, but we keep the setup below the threshold of costing you any money. YMMV.
Prerequisites for Constructing Defense (ConDef)
Although this course assumes no prior cybersecurity knowledge, having a solid foundation in general IT, basic SysAdmin abilities with Windows & Linux, networking and virtual environments are definitely a plus.
Because everything is provided for you, you need nothing other than a computer, Internet access and your brain!
